Our cold process soap making method

Soap has been made for many centuries and cold process soap follows a very similar process to those used throughout history. Traditionally, animal fats were combined with lye made from wood ashes to produce soap.  Cold process soap uses oils and butters selected for their specific properties.  These are melted together and combined with a solution of water and sodium hydroxide.  Some people are alarmed when they hear that sodium hydroxide is used to make soap, however, it is impossible to make true soap without this and there is none left in the final soap product...

Sea salt always helps, so I have bought many sea salt products in the past but all other ingredients in them irritate my condition, leaving me in pain. Absolutely gorgeous soaps, they smell divine and are really long lasting. I love that they are made from all natural ingredients and don't irritate my sensitive skin at all. They also come in such lovely packaging which makes them ideal gifts

They also last for AGES, and are wonderfully foamy and luxurious to use. They also come beautifully wrapped and packaged. ZING seems to be a special favourite for my friends, but honestly I can say, they are all truly lovely!!

There are many requirements that are needed to make and sell soaps safely and legally. Two main requirements are that products are assessed by a suitably qualified chemist and that products are documented on the Cosmetics Product Notification Portal.
